My Philosophy

In addition to fostering open communication and empathy, embracing mistakes and love, and creating a stimulating environment adaptable to all students, I believe in adopting a role as more of a guide or facilitator in my students' learning journeys. Rather than being the sole source of knowledge in the classroom, I see myself as a facilitator who empowers students to take ownership of their learning and discover knowledge for themselves.
As a guide, I provide students with the necessary resources, guidance, and support to navigate their learning paths independently. I encourage active participation and critical thinking by posing thought-provoking questions, facilitating discussions, and providing opportunities for student-led inquiry and exploration. By empowering students to ask questions, express their ideas, and engage in meaningful dialogue, I foster a sense of ownership and agency in their learning process.
Furthermore, I believe in creating a classroom culture where students feel empowered to speak up, share their perspectives, and contribute to the learning community. I value the diverse perspectives and experiences that each student brings to the table, and I actively seek to create opportunities for students to voice their opinions, ask questions, and engage in respectful dialogue with their peers. By creating a supportive and inclusive environment where every voice is valued and heard, I aim to cultivate a sense of belonging and collaboration among students.
In summary, I believe in adopting a role as more of a guide or facilitator in my students' learning journeys, providing them with the necessary support and guidance to navigate their learning paths independently. By empowering students to take ownership of their learning and fostering a classroom culture where every voice is valued, I strive to create a dynamic and inclusive learning environment where students feel empowered to learn, grow, and succeed.
I hope that my classroom feels like home away from home for my students and they feel the comfort and recognition that maybe some of my student would not typically feel from their family. My students will come from varying backgrounds and experiences, and I will embrace all of these as part of our classroom "family" constantly reiterating that diversity is what makes us a community, and we all deserve the same level of respect and love. In my view, a classroom transcends its traditional role as a mere space for learning, it creates a sanctuary where curiosity thrives, connections burgeon, and growth extends beyond academics, and I aspire to wholeheartedly embrace this.
